Venues

OpenAI PSA tournament will take place in 2 venues: a traditional squash resort with back-glass courts, and a temporary central glass court in Antibes center.

First rounds and half of the quarter finals will be held at Riviera Squash club, and half of the quarters, semi-finals and finals will be held in the Central Glass Court.

Hotel

Hotel bonus applies for this tournament. The hotel will be provided from the night before the first round in which players are scheduled to play, until two nights after they lose.  Rooms are twin rooms, shared with another player. The latest departure is the morning after the final.

On Tuesday 23rd , male players will be hosted at Ibis Budget in Vallauris.

For other days and for female players on 23rd, selected hotel will be Ibis Style Antibes.

Public transportations

Public transportations are handled per town. Google Maps will give directions using these transports.

Antibes - Envibus

For Antibes and its close neighborhood, the lines are managed by Envibus (https://www.envibus.fr/). You cannot buy tickets inside the bus unless you have the exact amount. Tickets are available from Envibus Ticket application:

·         Download Envibus Ticket application, create an account.

·         You may then buy tickets (1 ticket for 1 euro – 10 tickets for 8 euros).
Remark: A line is free, but you need to “buy” an “abonnement” called “Pass Navette” for 0 euro. This is then valid for 1 year.

·         When entering the bus, use “Mes Titres”, select your ticket and “Valider le titre”. You’ll then have to scan the QR Code available inside the bus.

Bertween Nice, Antibes and other towns

Regional buses, allowing to go intercities are handled by Zou! (https://zou.maregionsud.fr/). These lines are used e.g. form airport to Antibes.

Other towns in the area:

For Nice, bus are controlled by “Lignes Azur” (http://lignesdazur.com).

For Cannes, lines are “Palm Bus” (https://palmdeplacements.fr/).

Trains are available either through SNCF (https://www.sncf-voyageurs.com/fr/) or Zou !  (https://zou.maregionsud.fr/) for local trains (up to Monaco)

Shuttles

A shuttle service will be provided between the hotel, Squash Riviera and the Glass Court for players still in the draw.
There won’t be shuttle service from the airport and the hotel and vice versa.

Careful, this is almost impossible to walk from Les 3 Moulins bus stop to Ibis Budget hotel, there is a high speed road and a highway without pedestrian way in between.

Antibes Train station to Ibis Style Hotel

Functions

Players will be requested for one of the following activities:

1.      Take part in a squash training session with young people from the squash schools of local clubs on Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon on the Glass Court.

2.      Take part to a master class session on Sunday morning with young competitors from Squash Riviera Antibes

3.      Take part in a squash taster session with adults from the Open’s partner companies on Saturday and Sunday afternoon on the Glass Court

4.      Take part in a photo shoot with partners before the matches in the evening

After the matches on the glass court, we’ll request you to visit the partner’s area for officials and partners for a few moments of conversation, photos and autographs.

National Open - PSA Satellite 2500 euros

A PSA Satellite (men) / French National Open is planned from June 26th to June 28th at Riviera Squash & Wild Card. This is a 24 draw men only tournament, with a prize money of 2500 euros. Round 1 is played on 26th, from 17:00 to 19:00. Round 2, quarters, are played on Saturday 27th, semi finals and finals on Sunday 28th.Format is a Monrad one, all places are played.

If you think you may not go through Round 2 of the Challenger 9K and would like to enter PSA Satellite starting on Friday, please contact christelle.gaziello@squash-riviera-antibes.fr to register on the PSA Satellite before June 22th.
In case you would go through round 2 and have to withdraw from Satellite, we agreed with PSA to not give you a penality for late withdrawal. Final PSA Satellite draw will be done on Thursday, June 25th after completion of round 2.

Please be aware that the Riviera association does not pay in that case extra nights at the hotel.
